가천대 길병원과 가천대학교는 지난 12일 가천대 길병원 가천홀에서 ‘2016 가천의과학심포지엄’을 개최했다.
가천의과학심포지엄은 가천대 길병원과 가천대학교 의학전문대학원, 약학대학, 뇌과학연구원, 이길여암당뇨연구원, 바이오나노연구원, 유전체의과학연구소 등이 참여해 2016년 한해 동안 연구한 성과를 발표하고자 2008년부터 매년 개최하고 있다.
임상 의료진과 기초의과학에 매진하고 있는 연구진들이 한자리에 모여 성과를 발표하고, 공동 연구를 추진하는 등 매년 규모를 키워가고 있다.
이번 심포지엄은 총 5개 세션으로 나뉘어 진행됐다.
첫 번째 세션인 뇌과학연구원에서는 조현병의 PET 이미지(Neuronal disconnectivity in schizophrenia: insights from molecular PET imaging with multiple tracers)와 관련해 김종훈(정신건강의학과) 교수가 발표했다. 노영(신경과) 교수는 알츠하이머 등 치매환자의 타우 PET 영상( Tau PET imaging in Alzheimer's disease and other dementia)에 대한 연구 결과를 발표했다.
두 번째 세션에서는 약학대학 정광원 교수와 오승현 교수가 각각 유방암 세포에 관여하는 물질(Aberrant expression of the histone H3K4 methyltransferase promotes survival and migration of estrogen receptor α-positive breast cancer cells), 신호전달 경로 억제로 폐암 세포의 전이를 억제하는 물질(Ninjurin1 suppresses metastatic property of lung cancer cells through inhibition of Interleukin-6 signaling pathway)을 주제로 발표했다. 유전체의과학연구소 남승윤 교수는 시스템생물학의 의학에서의 응용( Application of systems biology in medicine)에 대해 발표했다.
세 번째 세션에서는 바이오나노연구원의 김문일 교수가 나노자임을 이용한 면역분석법을 통한 알레르기 칼라 검출에 대한 연구(Highly sensitive colorimetric detection of allergy based on immunoassay using nanozymes)에 대해 발표하고 박정환 교수는 약물 전달을 위한 미세 바늘(Microneedle for drug delivery)을 주제로 발표했다.
네 번째 세션에서는 암당뇨연구원 홍인선 교수가 줄기세포 독성에 관한 새로운 가설(PAI is a novel indicator of stem cell toxicity or tumorigenicity: Approaches to the stem cell niche reflecting safety test platforms)에 대해 발표하고, 진욱 교수가 전이성 유방암에 관해(Dysregulated JAK2 expression by TrkC promotes metastasis potential, and EMT program of metastatic breast cancer) 발표했다.
마지막 세션에서는 가천대 길병원 의료진의 연구 발표가 있었다. 비뇨기과 정경진 교수는 배뇨장애에 대한 알파차단제의 복합적 치료 효과(The effects of combination treatment of α-blockers according to the difference of subtype affinity on voiding dysfunction)를 주제로 발표했다. 피부과 백진옥 교수는 경구 면역관용을 주제(Oral tolerance inhibits atopic dermatitis-like type 2 inflammation in mice by modulating immune microenvironments)로 발표했다. 이비인후과 정주현 교수는 알레르기 진단을 위한 고감도 칩 개발(Development of high sensitive allergen chip for allergic disease diagnosis)에 대해 발표했다.
정명희 가천대학교 의무부총장은 “심포지엄을 통해 기초와 임상이 어우러지는 융합 연구가 많이 진행되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
